Consequences Within Chaos Book Review

It’s up to all us Indie authors to support one another on this crazy path we’ve chosen to follow. I’m happy to proof read, critique, or BETA read for anyone who needs the help. Heaven knows, it’s been a long hard road for me, so whatever I can do to make it easier for another author, I’m there, or here.

I’ve done a few reviews. They aren’t my favorite thing to do – mainly because I have to take all these words roaming around in my head and make them conform to a small, concise space. But, I’ve decided to challenge myself. Read these fascinating, exciting books and trim them down into a couple paragraphs. I hope I do them all justice.

My first review is on Derek Barton’s fantasy novel, Consequences Within Chaos. To give you a quick review, here’s the blurb from the book cover:

With a devastating war looming on the horizon for Wyvernshield, can its people place their faith and fate in the hands of a ruler who cannot distinguish between reality and fantasy?

How far into the depths of insanity would you go to prove your sanity?

Consequences Within Chaos introduces you to the wild imagination of Derek Barton. He has created an intricate web of worlds, from Tayneva to the Viestrahl to the unique dimension of Aberrisc. His brother and sister protagonists, Taihven and Letandra, make you question what is real and what isn’t. Packed with action and adventure, just when you think the story is going to zag, it zigs, and takes you to strange and wonderful places.

Is it the stuff of dreams…or nightmares?

You’ll have to read the book for yourself and decide your own consequences. Well worth the read!

I’m looking forward to the next book in the series!

  1. Thanks so much for your awesome review!! I just finished my initial first draft of The Bleeding Crown which is the sequel to Consequences Within Chaos. Hopefully it will be even more impacting than the first. My goal is to have this out by Mid 2018.
